Q & A with Jo Lamble and Sue Morris discuss The Partner Test

Why did you write The Partner Test?

We strongly believe in helping people to make an informed decision about their commitment to another person, and we wanted to get across this strong message in a fun, informal way.

How would you summarise your book's key message?

Our 5 Cs summarise the book's key message:

  1. Choose well
  2. Commit to each other
  3. Challenge your unhelpful thinking & behaviour
  4. Confront issues as they arise
  5. Cross your fingers

Based on feedback you've received, does any section or aspect of the book appeal to people in particular?

Well, we thought it would be the tests themselves, but interestingly enough, the feedback suggests that the interpretation of the test results and the strategy section after each test really appeal to people.

Any final advice for readers?

Yes, relationships are hard work, but if reading The Partner Test and doing the quizzes raises more questions than it answers, perhaps you should not commit.
