Tricky Kids

Transforming conflict and freeing their potential

Andrew Fuller

Is there one in your life? They come in a variety of flavours: the Negotiator (think Bart Simpson), the Competitor (shades of Lance Armstrong), the Dare Devil (inspired by the late Steve Irwin), the hard-to-beat Debater (echoes of Margaret Thatcher) - and more. They also come in a variety of sizes, from littlies up to towering teens - and they're a handful! Andrew Fuller, once a very tricky kid, brings 25 years of expertise with these kids to this humorous and insightful book. He shows parents and teachers how to understand these sweet little darlings, manage their moods and help them develop positive life habits. If you dream of occasionally winning at home - or in the classroom - this is the book for you!

'Tricky Kids provides insights into the behaviours of these young people and practical strategies to support them in developing new behaviours while retaining their individual identity. These insights can be used to better support and educate these young people at such a pivotal point in their lives.' Trevor Fletcher, Deputy Director General, Schools, NSW.

'Andrew's Teacher's Supplement reinforces the importance of the partnership between home and school that is imperative if we are to make a difference when dealing with tricky kids.' Lorraine Day, Principal, Carmel School, Perth.

'Tricky Kids is an amazing insight into the minds of young adolescents, and it is a good read. But, more importantly, it is a true reflection of the challenges which face many parents and teachers today. ' Virginia Elliott, Principal, Sylvania High School, Sydney.
