Getting Published by Finch

We are pleased to consider book proposals and offer our guidelines below:

We publish books on parenting, social issues, health, childcare and child's health, memoir, family issues, the lives of young people, social ecology and relationships. We do not publish fiction or biographies.

We like to publish practical books for a broad readership rather than those which are solely directed at professionals or educators.

The most effective starting point is to send a brief email summarising the book to our publisher, Rex Finch, at rex [at] finch [dot] com [dot] au. This summary should include a few paragraphs on what the intended book will cover, who it is for and how it differs from other books in this area. Please also include a brief list of contents and some background on yourself and your qualifications.

If your proposal is of interest to us we will contact you within a month of receiving it. Please do not send follow up emails after this time.
